Ant McPartlin has received heaps of support after publicly announcing his depression and addiction, causing him to enter rehab
The whole country has got behind Ant McPartlin after he revealed his shock addiction and depression diagnosis.
Ant, 41, who is one half of the country's biggest presenting duos, broke the news in a statement to The Sun.
It read: "The first step is to admit to yourself you need help. I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I am truly sorry."
It continued: "I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends for helping me through this really difficult time.
"I’ve spoken out because I think it’s important that people ask for help if they’re going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery."
The brave presenter has reportedly checked into rehab for two months of intensive treatment.
Many people have sent messages of support to Ant, who received an OBE earlier this year alongside his co-presenter and best friend Declan Donnelly.
And now famed TV doctor Dr. Christian Jessen has come out in support of the TV presenter.
Tweeting from his own page, Dr. Christian retweeted our story about Ant alongside a heartfelt message.
He wrote: "You have let NO ONE down Ant. Depression and addiction are not your fault. Just focus on getting back on track. Much love x"
Fans flocked to the tweet, writing that the Embarrassing Bodies presenter had hit the nail on the head for them.
One wrote: "Absolutely hit the nail there. I think he's double-hard amazing for carrying that for so long. Massive pats on back," and another wrote: "Couldn't agree with you more he hasn't let anyone down. So long as he has his family and friends hell get through this. Big hugs to Ant."
Our thoughts are with Ant and his family at this difficult time. ❤️
