She’s had an incredibly tough few months, but Davina McCall put on a brave face as she welcomed Closer and some celeb pals including Katie Piper and Ashley Roberts for a lunch last week to celebrate her new role as an ambassador for Ancient + Brave.
And while sharing her excitement at partnering with the wellness brand, Davina, 57, couldn’t help but gush about her partner of five years, hairdresser Michael Douglas, who has been her rock following her recent medical emergency.
Davina shared, ‘I want to just big up Michael for a minute, because you and I have been through something mega, and I want to say out loud, just thank you. It’s been really difficult for both of us, and I love you with all of my heart. You are everything to me, you’re my soulmate. We’re more than married!’

In November, the presenter shared that a scan had discovered a rare type of benign brain tumour called a colloid cyst which required surgery to remove. Having begun dating in 2019, following Davina’s split from Matthew Robertson – with whom she shares Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 18 – in 2017 after 17 years of marriage, Michael, 49, was a source of positivity and support for Davina during that time.
Now back at work having recovered from her ordeal, Davina – whose TV career took off in 1992 when she presented on MTV Europe – continues to wow fans with her ageless look.
The former Big Brother presenter – who has previously said she wouldn’t ever use Botox again after admitting that she stopped looking like herself – reveals, ‘If I’m honest, I didn’t want to get older. When I was younger there weren’t that many great role models, but now thanks to social media I can see other women growing old in a really cool way, like Helen Mirren.

‘Sexy confidence in a woman is so attractive. It’s not about how young you look, it’s how you feel about being the age that you are.’
In reality though, Davina seems younger than her 57 years as she reveals she has so much energy that she’s always up for a workout.
‘I always feel like working out,’ she tells Closer. ‘I’ve been training religiously for 25 years, and I’ve never regretted a workout. It’s difficult trying to find time, but I just do 30- minute workouts three or four times a week, and the rest of my time I’m active – I walk with purpose, I walk up the stairs, I never stand still on an escalator!’
