Danny Mac has confirmed his next move after finishing as runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend.
The actor’s new role will see him perform opposite his fiancee Carley Stenson.
The couple, who have both previously appeared in Hollyoaks, have won the lead roles in Sleepless, a musical based on the movie Sleepless in Seattle.
Danny will play the part of Sam and Carley has been cast as Annie.
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan played the roles in the 1993 film.
The flick tells the story of a grieving woman who falls for a journalist and it was nominated for two Oscars in its day.
The stage show version will be going on a UK tour next year and will stop in cities including Manchester and Dublin.
Danny finished in second place on BBC ballroom dance contest Strictly on Saturday night.
He thanked fans and show bosses for their support after the final programme aired.
The star wrote on Instagram: “Well… signing off from the experience of a lifetime. What an incredible show to be a part of & such a special season. I committed & never looked back.
“The support from every single person who commented & voted is truly overwhelming - you gifted me the greatest opportunities week after week & I will be forever grateful.”
