Can you imagine Albert Square without Mick Carter?
From the moment that Danny Dyer stepped into Walford in 2013, he has been a firm favourite with viewers thanks to his character Mick’s controversial storylines.
From his turbulent relationship with Linda, to getting his birthday wrong a few weeks ago, no one can say that he has gone under the radar!
But now the actor, 39, has hinted that he may not be extending his residency at Albert Square.
Danny’s contract with the soap ends in October this year, and while attending the National Television Awards last week he told The Sun that the future of his career won’t necessarily include Walford.
The father-of-three said: “Four years is a long time. It’s been really rewarding but there’s other stuff out there.
"I’d love to show other sides to me, I loved theatre and all that."
Fans of the show were shocked last week when they saw Mick kissing his daughter-in-law, Whitney, as she woke up in hospital following the huge bus crash of disaster week.
Denise Fox saw, but will she keep their secret?
Lee and Whitney’s relationship hasn’t run the smoothest course, but this kiss could be significant – especially following Danny’s comments at the NTAs.
Speculation is mounting that Mick could be killed off by his son, Lee, as a result of his dalliance with Whitney.
How do you think Lee will react if he finds out? Could this be leading up to an explosive exit for Danny Dyer’s character? Let us know what you think on Facebook or Twitter @CloserOnline
