“Ray went through a hard time when I was going out to work and he wasn’t. I think it can be emasculating for a man, especially one born in an era where men used to go out to earn the money while the women stayed at home.

Coleen isn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet, but she has made peace with the fact that her marriage might not go the distance.

“I’ll try my hardest to make my marriage work but, like millions of other couples, I genuinely don’t know if we’ll make it till death do us part or not.

“If Ray and I ever did come to the conclusion that there is nothing left, we shouldn’t be scared to walk away. We shouldn’t feel a failure.”
