I’m A Celeb’s Cliff Parisi has revealed he’s lost 1.5 stone since entering the Jungle just week’s ago.

The Call The Midwife actor was booted from the show on Monday night’s eviction following Adele Robert’s controversial elimination on Friday whereby an issue with app meant that only the phone votes counted.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly in his first telly interview post eviction, Cliff seemed delighted with his weight loss, putting it down to the tiny portions in camp.

“I have lost a stone-and-a-half,” he told her. "But I haven't had much to eat. I had a bit of this, a bit of a burger.

“It's the beans that have done it - I am never going to eat a bean in my life again.

"I have been paid to go on a diet, somewhere sunny, and live in a jungle."

The jungle diet is well known to have drastic effects, with many of the former I’m A Celeb campmates speaking out about dropping the pounds rapidly on their meagre meals.

Last month rugby player and last night's evictee James Haskell estimated their daily diet to consist of just 700 calories– dangerously low compared to a healthy intake of 2,000.

“I never thought I would look at a menu and chose crocodile feet. We're still only getting 700 calories per day,” he said, talking to Extra Camp hosts via video link from the Bush Telegraph.

“We're literally scraping the barrel of discovering different ways of cooking rice and beans and trying to add some flavour.

“We're slowly wasting away, but wasting away with dignity."
