On October 31st, the 42 year old's daughter, Matilda, was rushed to hospital when her Halloween costume caught on fire and left her legs severely burnt.

In the wake of the tragedy, she and her husband, Kris Thykier, released a statement, reminding everyone 'to be vigilant about the dangers of candles, open fires and fireworks and to be please have the appropriate safety measures in place and to hand'.

Even though she has indefinite leave from the show to care for her daughter, it may be that Matilda's recovery is going better than expected, allowing Claudia to return to work so quickly.
