Ciara's pregnancy photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar with her son Future and husband Russell Wilson has caused a stir online
American singer Ciara is the latest star to cause a comotion with a pregnancy photoshoot (they're all the rage right now - can you tell?).
To understand the full story you need to know a bit about Ciara, so for those who don't, here's the low down...
Ciara and her ex-fiancé Future (the father of her two-year-old son of the same name) had a bit of a rocky romance. Back in 2014 the pair were engaged and welcomed their adorable son into the world. However a few months after giving birth, Ciara dramatically called off her wedding amid rumours that her fiancé cheated on her. Ouch.
However since their split in 2014, things have been looking up.
Ciara moved on, and in 2016 she married her now-husband Russell Wilson. Then, last year the yummy mummy announced the exciting news that she's expecting her second child. Which brings us bang up to date.
In a feature for the latest issue of up-market magazine Harper's Bazaar US called 'Ciara: Pregnant And More Powerful Than Ever' the 31-year-old opened up about her pregnancy and posed for a rather racy pregnancy photoshoot - alongside her husband Russell and son, Future.
However one picture, has caused a bit of a hoo-ha online.
The image in question (below) sees a half-naked Ciara holding her son, Future, with her husbands hands holding her pregnancy bump.
Posting the image on her Instagram account, Ciara wrote: ""Just the four of us"
But while many people thought the picture was beautiful, others have criticised Ciara.
Lots of people were outraged that the image featured both Future and his step-dad - Ciara's new husband - Russell.
On particularly foul-mouthed commentor wrote: "She's disrespectful as f--k taking a pic like this with another man child. If Future did some sh-t like this, I bet people wouldn't be calling it 'beautiful'."
While another person added0: "Wtf?! @ciara are you serious? I know @future didn't and wouldn't approve of thiS. That is y'all son. You're wrong for this."
And someone else chimed in: "It's a no for me. Not appropriate at all that's not Russell's son."
However that's not the only reason people were unhappy with the image.
Some people were upset about the fact that Ciara's son is naked in the photo.
One person wrote: "Why is Future Naked tho? The picture is beautiful but it's kinda creepy having him naked!! He could at least have on some undies!! @ciara maybe you can explain it better @future. I think the picture goes too far!"
Another added: "I'm not knocking this lovely family at all! But I think I would have loved this pic if the child's bottom was covered with some black shorts and the same for mum... it's just a lil too much showing for me!"
And a third person argued: I'm not a hater but I don't understand the nude part with kids that are being taken lately by celebrities... it so not right to have a child's private part on you period regardless to if the child is yours or not!"
Someone else simply wrote: That's inappropriate"
However, plenty of Ciara's 15 million Instagram followers loved the shoot and supported her.
One person wrote: "Love this! Love family unity. People weren't upset with Future for making all these damn kids without committing to one mother!"
Another said: "I love it I don't see nothing wrong he's holding his baby and she's holding both of hers... all this crazy stuff being said is ridiculous"
A third person argued: "This picture is not disrespectful nor is it distasteful or disgusting. This is a family photo. This is art, we are all born without cloth and Russell has been a father to Future and stepped in when his dad stepped out that's what step dads do."
Someone else commented: "Hmmm married women with child holding her child while the committed and very present husband is holding his FAMILY. The hate is so confusing."
Another person wrote: "This is beautiful and ain't a damn thing wrong with this picture. Future wouldn't have these problems had he not cheated. People are so ignorant."
Ciara's friend Kelly Rowland also came under fire after people noticed she liked a negative comment under Ciara's pregnancy photo! However Kelly dismissed the backlash, writing on Instagram: " This pic of my dear friend and her beautiful family makes my heart smile, I can't believe how anyone would actually think I would "like" a negative comment about a woman I look at as a great Mom, awesome wife, and a sweetheart of a friend! Accidents do happen, and this new "like" feature is WHACK."
