Christine Bleakley is already a stepmum to her husband’s two daughters, but has revealed she longs to have a baby of her own with the ex-Chelsea footballer.
The Northern Irish presenter, 37, tied the knot with Lamps, 38, in December last year and the pair split their time between the UK and New York City (where Frank has been playing football).
Christine is the proud step-mum to Frank’s daughters Luna, 11, and Isla, nine, but explained she would love to become a biological mother herself.
"I'm 37 but in my head I'm about 23/24. Of course you have to get your head around that biologically you can't have babies forever," she said while hosting ITV’s Loose Women on Thursday.
"I certainly would love to have children. I think with Frank having two little girls, you've got a strange sense of motherhood without being mummy but it is a wonderful thing," she explained.
"There are no grandchildren in my family at all so I know my mum and dad would secretly love it. They'd never put pressure on us but I know they'd secretly adore it," she added.
The baby talk started after the panel – including presenting legend Gloria Hunniford, Birds of a Feather star Linda Robson, and ex-EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon – had been discussing Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s much scrutinised ‘baby bump.’
During the conversation, Martine, 40, explained that she turned to God to start a family of her own.
Martine – who starred as Tiffany Mitchell on the BBC soap between 1995 and 1998 – became emotional as she explained she struggled to conceive.
"There is, biologically, a clock ticking," she said.
"I think we’re in tune with ourselves, so your instinct is there as well," she continued.
"I got to a stage when I really wanted a baby. Because I had ME, and I was quite weak, and I found it difficult to carry through a pregnancy. The more I knew I couldn’t, the more I wanted it," she explained.
Martine welcomed a son named Rafferty in February 2015 – and credits her faith for helping her conceive.
“I’ll never forget, I was sat in bed and I said to God, ‘Listen, God. I know I don’t talk to you very often, but I would love to have just one. And I just want to know what it’s like to be a mum. And after that, if I have any more – great, brilliant. I’ll be blessed. But just the one and I will be so thankful. That’s the deal. Please, please, please."
"And luckily, after a period of time, I got a bit stronger, and I got healthier and I managed to carry a baby and I had him," she continued.
"I have to say – there is no other love like it," the proud mum said.
Meanwhile Gloria added that she could yet be the first serving member of the Loose Women panel to get pregnant herself.
"There is a woman in Italy, at 80, who has had children. I was thinking to myself, maybe I could have the first Loose Women baby?" the 76-year-old laughed.
