Liam Payne’s love life hit the headlines yet again last week when he was snapped holding hands with American party girl, Kate Cassidy.

The singer, 29, attended a Halloween bash with his 23-year-old new love interest – dressed up as infamous ’90s couple Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, and sources reveal how the pair are “mad about each other”.

But just two weeks ago the former 1D star turned out to support 39-year-old Cheryl – with whom he shares five-year-old son, Bear– at a charity gala in honour of her late former Girls Aloud bandmate, Sarah Harding.

Their rare red carpet appearance – four years after their split – sparked rumours they could be back together, and insiders even claimed Cheryl was considering welcoming another child with Liam.

But in the wake of Liam’s latest romance, pals say it’s left the former X Factor judge feeling blindsided.

The source says, “Cheryl had no idea Liam was dating again and only found out when she saw the pictures like everyone else.

“While he hasn’t done anything wrong and is free to date who he likes, it left her feeling hurt and betrayed given she assumed he would have told her, rather than keep her in the dark over something like that.

“It’s clearly more serious than just casually dating as they’d put thought into their costumes and gone as a famous couple. And given how close they’ve become over the last few months, she’s started to question the authenticity of their relationship and began to wonder what else he could be hiding about his personal life.”
