Despite friends telling Closer that the pop star would not be keen on marrying again, it turns out Cheryl had a change of heart.
The singer and her businessman beau married in the Caribbean last Monday with just four witnesses present.
The X Factor judge announced her nuptials to boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini via her Instagram page.
The 31-year-old’s team posted a photo of her new engagement ring and wedding band on the photo sharing site along with the caption: “Congrats to our favourite girl cheryl on her marriage to jb! we're so excited for what the future holds for you two.”
The marriage comes following rumours that Cheryl’s French beau was ‘ready to marry’ the pop star just three months after they started dating.
Cheryl met Jean-Bernard after partying at his pop-up club in Cannes earlier this year.
Jean-Bernard has been seen regularly with Cheryl in recent months and has even joined her as she tours the country judging auditions for this year’s X Factor.
The marriage comes as a shock to fans after she was involved in a long-term relationship with American back-up dancer up until fairly recently.
The former Girls Aloud star divorced first husband Ashley Cole four years ago after he allegedly cheated on her with several different women.
