Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd has broken her silence in the wake of her mother and grandmothers deaths with a heartbreaking Instagram post.

The 24-year-old Scream Queens actress suffered a double tragedy when her grandmother Debbie Reynolds died just a day after her mother, Carrie Fisher, passed away.

Debbie, who suffered a suspected stroke, was reportedly planning her daughter Carrie's funeral with her son Todd, and said "I want to be with Carrie."

Posting a picture of her as a child with her mother and grandmother, Billie wrote: "Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist," she wrote.

"There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me."

Billie will appear alongside her late mother in the next Star Wars film, which has already finished filming.
