Love Island’s Cara De La Hoyde has opened up about the difficult birth of her second child, admitting to followers that the pain was so intense she “wanted to die”.

Cara, who married Nathan Massey after meeting on Love Island in 2016, opened up about the ordeal during an Instagram Q&A with fans after a fan said she was scared of giving time for the second time.

“So was I, so much more than with [her son] Fred,” she agreed. “I think it’s because you know what to expect this time and how much it hurts.

“But honestly was a lot easier. Like I still wanted to die but it didn’t seem as bad after the first time."

Cara gave birth to their daughter, Delilah, back in July, two years after welcoming Freddy, and admitted the “terrible twos” were living up to their reputation with their eldest.

Speaking back in May about pregnancy during a pandemic, Cara said, "This pregnancy has been so different – so many emotions and things that none of us could have ever expected.

"I’m excited to see our baby, but also very anxious about going to the hospital on my own, which is obviously a possibility now for the birth depending how long this [social distancing] continues.”
