The actor who plays Todd Grimshaw is said to be 'devastated' by claims that he 'acted inappropriately' towards a woman while on a recent night out.

ITV have apparently launched an official investigation into the accusations as the woman filed an official complaint with the broadcaster the day after the alleged incident occurred.

Bruno, 34, and dad to ten year old son Freddie, has strongly denied the allegations.

A source told The Sun: “He is very upset. This is devastating for him. A complaint has been received and is being taken very seriously.

“Bruno has been asked to give an account of what happened and that is being checked against the woman’s statement."

They continued: "He doesn’t even know what she is alleging beyond inappropriate conduct.

“There has been no announcement to cast and crew. Police are not involved at this stage.

“It is important Bruno is given a fair hearing."

A Coronation Street spokeswoman refused to comment on the claims last night while Bruno's representatives insisted he had not been suspended from the show.
