Robin Thicke - who was married to Paula Patton for nine years - has failed to win his wife back via the art of song.
Not only did he name his most recent album after her, but he also released a song titled Get Her Back.
Robin even went so far as to, when performing the hit at the Billboard Music Awards 2014, say to the audience: "All right, y'all, help me get her back."
TMZ.com have now revealed that his attempts to save his marriage have failed, with the actress officially filing for divorce.
The couple are stating they separated in February due to "irreconcilable differences".
Robin and Paula are also happy to share custody of their four-year-old son, Julian.
Despite rumours of cheating surrounding the chart-topper, the 38-year-old movie star has stated that the break-up is "harmonious" with no real issues that will cause conflict.
