CBB’s Ben Jardine has become a father for the first time, after his ex-girlfriend Silvia Sanchis gave birth to a baby girl
The news was announced by Ben’s friend Lizzie Cundy on her FUBAR radio show, after Ben sent her a WhatsApp message with the happy news.
"He is a father. Had a little baby girl. I don’t know if he wants me to announce it but I just have, she said, live on air.
“Breaking news. Congratulations Ben Jardine.”
Ben, who first found fame marrying Stephanie Saint Remy on Love at First Sight in 2017, and former girlfriend Siliva announced their pregnancy at the start of this year, moving in together in South London just months after his divorce from Stephanie.

However, at 29 weeks the pregnancy was riddled with controversy when he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house and quickly became close with ex-Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallet, who was engaged to steel worker Lee Walton.
It wasn’t long before Lee was confessing his love for the actress, wholeft the house disgraced following the Ryan Thomas ‘punchgate’ debacle, but coming clean about his baby on the way certainly shocked Roxanne and fellow housemate Dan Osbourne.

Explaining that he had had an affair with “an old friend” – Silvia Sanchis – while still with Stephanie, he said: “She was a friend, and I was already a mess.
“Then obviously one night… and then… and now we’ve got a little baby on the way.”
But on the outside, Siliva had been vehement in her condemnation of the blossoming romance in the house, insisiting that the two of them were still very much together.
“For me, Ben and Roxanne are showing that they take relationships very lightly. I’m not happy. Surely, he should be proud that he’s having baby with someone who loves him. I was in bits when I saw the way he’s behaved in the house,” she told The Sun.
“Both of them needed to realise they’ve got people who care about them on the outside. He is acting like he’s a single person but I’m in a relationship with him, I live in his house and I’m having his baby.”
Despite the messy circumstances, Dan says he is thrilled to be a dad.
“They say 'God loves to turn purposeless chaos into something beautiful' and He (or She!) really has in my life!,” he said. "I have been blessed. Out of all the chaos of this past year something beautiful has happened, which I will forever protect and be grateful for.”
“I’ll be a great dad,” he added.
Meanwhile, ex-wife Stephanie has shared an Instagram post in response, stating simply that “It’s not [her] news to comment on”.
