Ex boyfriend of TOWIE star Ferne McCann, Arthur Collins has been charged with a further crime after smuggling a mobile phone in his CRUTCHES.
Arthur, who is serving 20-years behind bars for a nightclub acid attack, has pleaded guilty for the offence.
His defence lawyers argued that the 25-year-old had kept his mobile phone on him so he could keep in contact with his pregnant at the time ex girlfriend and his family and friends. Arthur pleaded guilty to possessing the mobile phone via video link wearing a 'high-risk escape uniform'.
Disgraced Collins spent months on crutches after breaking both ankles jumping from a window, whilst on the run from police in April.
He will be sentenced for possession of a prohibited item in prison at Woolwich Crown Court at a later unconfirmed date.
He also had two SIM cards and two USB sticks concealed in his crutches.
Arthur was found guilty of throwing acid over more than a dozen of nightclub revelers at a club in East London. The attack left many of the victims disfigured after the Easter Bank Holiday attack.
He left two victims partially blinded and a further 15 with disfigurements.
Although Arthur admitted to throwing the liquid, he claimed he didn't know it was acid.
TOWIE's Ferne McCann was dating Arthur Collins until the truth about the horrifying attack emerged. A few days later she broke the news she was carrying his baby.
In November, Ferne gave birth to a gorgeous girl named Sunday.
