Emmerdaleactress and EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith have welcomed their first child together.
The couple, who met in the audience of Strictly back in 2019 when Amy was supporting Emmerdale co-star Kelvin Fletcher and Toby was cheering on co-star Emma Barton, confirmed the news on 2 January 2022.
In a statement to OK!, they said, “Well…it’s been a busy week! Hope you all had a good one. HAPPY NEW YEAR from the three of us.”
The soap stars also released a family snap of themselves pushing their newborn in a pram. They have not confirmed the sex or the name of their little one.

Amy, who plays Tracy Metcalfe, and Toby, who plays Gray Atkins in his soap, announced in September that they were expecting their first child together.
At the time, Amy, 34, who is the sister of Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, told the publication of her shock as she previously feared she wouldn’t be able to conceive as she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome when she was 20.

EastEnders’ Maisie Smith opens up about her body image battle
She revealed, “It feels as though the way everything happened was meant to be. I thought I might struggle with fertility, so for pregnancy to happen quite easily and when I wanted – I was gobsmacked. We feel incredibly lucky..."
She added, "I always thought falling pregnant was going to be a battle. Toby knew how worried I was, especially as I’m a bit older.
"I did wonder if it would ever happen for me, so it feels like a blessing."
