Amy Childs is one of the many celebrities expecting the patter of tiny feet this year. Along with fellow reality TV stars like Binky Felstead, and A-listers like Beyonce and Amal Clooney, there’s set to be a fair few celebrity baby nappies piling up over the next few months.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star is due to give birth to her first child in just two weeks, which is why when she revealed she recently had a traumatic fall fans were very concerned for the 26-year-old and her unborn child.

Amy admitted that she was covered in “cuts and bruises” and even lost four toenails in the dramatic fall, just weeks before her due date.

Writing for her column in New magazine, she explained: “Last week, I tripped and fell over the stair gate, which I have for my dog.

“I lost four toenails and was covered in cuts and bruises... I called my midwife but all was OK as I fell on my side and not my belly.

“Then my princess was kicking away, so I knew she was fine, but I was in so much shock I burst into tears.”

Amy and her boyfriend, Bradley Wright, are excited to become parents for the first time and have been updating fans on Instagram with scan pictures and nursery plans.

Those who follow the couple closely will know that Amy’s dog, Leo, has been fiercely protecting of the mum-to-be.

“[He] knows something is going on,” she said.

“He keeps barking at Brad and is so protective over me and my bump… the other day I was lying in the bath and he came over and licked it!

“We’ll introduce him to the baby slowly as he won’t want him to get jealous or feel left out.”

We're glad to hear that Amy and the baby are okay, and are so excited to meet her little princess!
