Every year, Britain’s Got Talent is hit with ‘fix’ claims. Over the years, we’ve seen some incredible acts gracing the famous stage, but it often courts controversy as performers are accused of cheating or are lambasted for having previously participated in similar competitions.
This year has been no different, with fans of the show accusing Adam Keeler of copying his act from a famous comedy duo Raymond and Timpkins, who have been doing something similar for many years. They even came forward to say that BGT had requested they attend auditions for years before this ‘copycat’ act appeared this year.
However, judge Alesha Dixon has finally spoken out about the claims and wants to set the record straight about the ‘fix’ allegations.
Alesha sits on the panel alongside Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.
But the singer wants fans to know exactly what goes on behind the scenes.
Talking to Mirror Online, she said: “It's so genuine.
“The great thing is that when we show up we haven't got a clue who we're going to see and I like that, and even with the live shows, you know, if we wanted to watch rehearsals we could, but we all make a conscious decision not to because we want to see it in real time with the audience because you want that genuine reaction.
"So no, of course it's not fixed and it's natural for people to be suspicious, I get that, but it's not."
So there you have it!
