Rosie Floyd

Rosie Floyd is a Senior Home Product Writer for Closer. In this role, she specialises in home appliances, décor, and furnishings, as well as a touch of beauty and fashion.

Rosie has been with Bauer Media since 2022 and has contributed to a number of titles, including Take a Break, A Modern Kitchen and Mother & Baby. Having known from an early age that she wanted to be a writer, Rosie went on to study Journalism & Media at Coventry University where she achieved a BA with honours in 2015. Her career highlights before joining Bauer include writing content around must-visit holiday destinations and luxury hotels for Thomas Cook and a role that was all about creating content around outdoor living for a family-run garden buildings manufacturer.

Since being a writer at Bauer, Rosie has covered a variety of topics that vary from vacuums to bedding and dresses to hair tools and how to get tickets for the latest must-watch shows and concerts. She’s always loved shopping for things around the home, but this has escalated since she became a homeowner for the first time as she’s been slowly but surely turning her house into a home ever since. This has included a lot of time researching and testing all the best household appliances that make keeping a home in tip-top condition as easy as possible and shopping for furnishings and fixtures to make it super cosy and welcoming.

As a self-confessed ‘crazy dog lady’, you’ll usually find Rosie cuddled up to one of her three dogs, Gina, Barney and Bella, and getting them involved with product testing where she can. When she’s not tapping away at her laptop or got a dog on her lap, Rosie is watching the Mamma Mia films on repeat, singing along to 90s and 00s pop, or endlessly scrolling Instagram and TikTok. She also loves baking up all the sweet treats in the kitchen whenever she gets a spare moment, shopping for clothes and make-up that make her look and feel good and going to gigs and West End shows.
