Katie Banks has been at Bauer Media for 16 years and is currently the Editor of Closer Magazine, overseeing everything celebrity and lifestyle. During her career as a journalist, she has secured a number of global scoops including the first UK interview with Caitlyn Jenner, the last ever interview with comic legend Joan Rivers and even broke into a karaoke evening for Kate Moss (she sang Ziggy Stardust!).
Travelling to LA, Katie regularly covered the Oscars season for Bauer and has interviewed a range of A Listers as a result.
Her presenting has included regular appearances on TV shows including Good Morning Britain, BBC News and CNN. She took part in three interviews as part of ITV's coverage of the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton and also provided live commentary on the event for TLC Discovery TV. Within Bauer, Katie has presented her own digital chat show, called Closer Confidential with Eden-Olivia Lord.
During her journalist career, Katie has also worked for a wide variety of publications, including Elle, Glamour, Brides, Psychologies, The Telegraph and The Mail on Sunday.
