I’ve found the perfect wide-leg trousers for under £40 – and even Michelle Keegan is a fan

I'm pear-shaped and they fit like a dream

Very trousers

Now I'm maturing (ha!), I'm really into finding wardrobe staples that I can rely on for all and any occasion in my calendar. Whether it's for the office, brunch with the girls or a very important appointment (read: finally sending that Vinted parcel), I want some hard-working high-street pieces that make everyday dressing a whole lot easier.

My latest discovery is a pair of wide-leg trousers that are easily the best I've ever tried. Introducing the Grey Wide Leg Trousers, £35 from Michelle Keegan's glorious Very collection, which is now officially the MVP in my autumn/winter wardrobe. A mighty claim but let me tell you exactly why.

They are ridiculously soft and comfortable yet scream plenty of 'executive realness' for work. They have an adjustable drawstring waist which ensures a perfect fit and can be handily loosened for big dinners. They're also pear-shaped friendly and a godsend for anyone who struggles to find trousers that fit thanks to their waist-to-bum ratio.

What's more, Michelle Keegan is a huge fan of the trousers (she designed them after all!) and showed how stylish they look when paired with cosy neutrals and your favourite pair of sneakers.

As well as both Michelle and I relying on the cosy wide-leg trousers for our everyday OOTD, they've also been rated five stars online by plenty of chuffed customers.

One shared how they are now her 'favourite work trousers' and added, 'I wear them for work, so comfy with the full elasticated waist. I would wear out too though, really versatile trousers. I LOVE them!' Another wrote, 'Lovely trousers. Really comfortable. True to size.'

Talking of size, I sized up to a size 12 (I'm normally a 10-12 for trousers), and they were the perfect fit. I wanted the trousers to be loose, but thanks to the clever drawstring waistband, I could adjust the waist fully.

The trousers are already close to selling out, so snap them up now and thank me later.
