Thanks to stable babes like Gemma Owen, Luisa Zissman and Kate Middleton, horsey vibes are currently being welcomed with open arms in the fashion world.
From Stella McCartney to Ralph Lauren, luxury fashion designers have included elements of equestrianism in their recent collections, with many icons from the fashion industry surprisingly coming from a childhood with horses.
Even the most glamorous woman of all, Madonna, likes to have a canter around the arena occasionally on her own horses, two of which are Welsh Cobs called Tom and Boris (adorable).

Miley Cyrus has been seen to rock the Equestrian style both on and off camera, from acting as Hannah Montana to bringing elements of her country background on stage.

However, if you love the 'Equestrian Rich Girl' look but have never been on a horse before (and don't intend to!) we've found the most stylish riding outfits from the high street - no pony or loan required.

Layer underneath a gillet or cardigan and you’re halfway to your new aesthetic already.

Shein has recently brought out a rather substantial equestrian-inspired range. Whilst quite unexpected, it’s pretty cool. The beautiful beige or striking blue options of this cardigan would go perfectly with some white jeans and some long tan boots.

Who would have thought you could get equestrian-aesthetic items from Stradivarius? Well, now we know. This fitted V-neck with contrasting collar is very on-trend, and ideal for when you only want to wear one layer. Paired with some denim jeans and cowboy boots and all you need now is a horse.

Not that you’d expect it, you know, with all the dirt and stuff, but white jeans are always a tick when it comes to country looks.

Picture this, you’re out in the countryside on a warm summer’s day, sipping a refreshing G&T, whilst wearing your favourite sunnies and this beautiful skirt from Dorothy Perkins. You’d fit right in at the polo matches.

These ASOS DESIGN boots are a great purchase for an equestrian themed outfit, and versatile enough to be worn with other looks too.

Not a fan of boots? No problem. These loafers from Accessorize are just as fitting, especially with the horsebit on the front. Worn with a short-sleeved shirt and navy skirt in the summer, could you look any more like a country gal?
