Dawn French wears £30 festive PJs in the new M&S Christmas ad – and they’re already selling out

Strictly is the highlight of our Saturday nights, we’ve grown accustomed to pumpkin spice in our coffee and this year’s Christmas adverts are dropping harder than the official I’m A Celeb line-up. Ah Christmas, what a glorious time of year.

This year's M&S’ Christmas Food advert stars the wonderful Dawn French who begins miserable and lacking in serious festive merriness. That is until a magical fairy Dawn French gives the home a ‘M&S makeover’ full of lights, banquets of party food and happy neighbours. Dawn even transformed out of her tartan jammies into a brand-new party frock. Btw, we would do anything for a Dawn French fairy. Anything.

The advert showed plenty of tasty food on offer at the supermarket this Christmas, but it was the comedian's clobber we were greedily eyeing up.

The Vicar of Dibley star started by wearing the most festive tartan pyjamas from M&S, £30 which are an annual best-seller and have been rated five stars online for being 'warm, soft and stylish'. They are all we want to wear on Christmas morning (and again after we've visited Great Aunt Peggy, too.)

Then for Dawn's epic M&S party, the comedian looked gorgeous in M&S' Textured V-Neck Midi Relaxed Dress, £45 which is naturally already trending and primed to sell out. The dress is made from a shimmering textured fabric which is perfect for party season, but the long sleeves and midi length ensure its classic, flattering and comfortable for a long day of hosting.
