Do you find self-tanning a chore? Is your skin left looking patchy most of the time? You’re not alone. Fake tan faux pas are more common than not – but if you’re looking for a quick fix, we may have found the answer to your problems. A fake tan shower!

No, this isn’t a prank. Whether you haven’t been able to get away this year, or your holiday tan is fading fast, Victorian Plumping has launched the world’s first ever self-tanning shower head, which promises to give Brits glowing results without the streaks.

The weird and wonderful product, which costs £2,500 in total, features 360° rotation for easy application, a compartment for tanning solution and a dial to control the level of your tan.

The shower head can be applied to all standard shower systems and dispenses both water and spray tan solution – meaning it’s still useful for your everyday wash.

So how does it work? All shoppers need to do is insert the spray tan solution into the shower head compartment, before letting the new shade rain down, creating a flawless, all-over tan.

The company claims that the invention comes off the back of reports stating that nearly one million flights have been cancelled by major UK airports in recent months – leaving many eager holiday-goers without their sun, sand and beach-ready glow.

Joe Pascoe, Product Development Manager at Victorian Plumping, says: “Going away with friends and family and getting a radiant summer tan is a staple in British culture. Unfortunately, due to flight cancellations and delays, we wanted to provide an alternative solution to getting people their ‘holiday’ glow, which is both safe and also leaves you feeling just that little more confident.”

Whilst we’re unsure what this means for the state of our bathroom tiles, if a fake tan shower head will erase those pesky patches, we’ll try anything.
