Sam Faiers has bravely opened up and shared photos after revealing she's secretly been battling with adult acne.

The Mummy Diaries star posted snaps of the acne on her face and confessed it started to develop after she breastfed her daughter Rosie, two.

"Iā€™ve been really nervous about posting this picture. The last few years Iā€™ve been very quiet about the fact that Iā€™ve been suffering with adult acne - in my case, it was hormonal.

"After breastfeeding Rosie, my skin just broke out and I couldnā€™t get it under control. I tried absolutely everything.

"It felt like the more I was doing to stop it, the worse it became," she explained on Instagram.

She went on to reveal that she's managed to conceal it from her followers by using filters on social media.

"Iā€™ve been so embarrassed about it and have used filters on Instagram to try and hide it.

"I would always edit and smooth my skin in pictures and I definitely wouldnā€™t leave the house without make-up."

However her turning point came two years ago when she started doing her own research and using collagen skincare products that included anti-ageing qualities.

After noticing a visibly difference that included a "dramatic reduction in breakouts", she decided to launch her own skincare brand - Revive Collagen.

The product she's launched is a hydrolysed marine collagen drink that benefits your skin, hair, nails and joints.

Sam has said the Revive Collagen is perfect for our busy lifestyles because it's "ready to drink easily taken daily on the go or at home".

"Over the past two years, Iā€™ve been working with some of the UKā€™s top laboratories to bring to the market a uniquely formulated skincare brand that delivers real results.

"Ladies, this a game changing product and Iā€™ve never felt more passionate about somethingā€¦ @ReviveCollagen".

In more Sam Faiers news, she recently confirmed that she has quit The Mummy Diaries after seven years.

"For many months of consideration, I've decided that now feels like the right time to step away and to focus on new adventures," she said.

"I truly have watched all the most defining moments in my adult life play out on The Mummy Diaries - bringing two beautiful children into the world, my relationship with Paul, building my businesses, creating a home together as a family, and of course all the wonderful memories with Billie and my family.

"For those of you wondering why, and this is the honest truth; I always said when the children start school, I would reassess the situation and this wasnā€™t an easy decision to make by all means šŸ˜¢ but Iā€™ve decided I would let my family take a break from it all. "

However she did add, "Iā€™m working on some exciting projects and very excited for this next chapter".

Her sister Billie has confirmed that she'll confirm to film her own spin-off version of the show.
