One question I have asked myself for a while now is whether or not the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is worth splashing my hard-earned cash on. I’ve watched hours of influencers reviewing it, but I think until you try it for yourself, you never really know what to expect.
The price point is the main reason why I wondered if it was worth purchasing, and one of the main things I was concerned about was that I would buy it, use it, and then realise that it did what any other hair dryer did... dry my hair. But let me tell you something, with this hair dryer, I feel as though I'm at the hairdresser, without both the faff and the hefty price tag. A salon experience from home, if you will.
If there isn't a deal on the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, it's quite a hefty investment, but it's one you won't regret. Here's why I think it is absolutely worth it:
1 The temperature control
The thing about hair is it can be damaged easily. Heat, products and the environment can have a detrimental effect. If you’re in a rush to leave the house, you might be tempted to turn your hairdryer up to its hottest mode.
I have light blonde hair and when I’ve done this in the past, it can leave it feeling like straw. The state-of-the-art technology in a Dyson hairdryer means that it monitors the temperature. Although you can’t see this, it’ll prevent you from burning your hair.
2 It dries quickly
When I found out about the advanced temperature tech, I was worried that it would take longer to dry. From start to finish, it'll take time off your usual routine. You should be styled and ready to go in under 10 minutes. I must admit, the three-speed and heat settings will play a big role in this.
PSST... If you have frizzy or curly hair, this will work for you too! Although, I’d recommend you clip on the magnetic diffuser before use.
3 The sound
The worst thing about the whole experience of drying your hair has to be the sound, right? Whether you’re at the salon or home, you can’t escape the loud whooshing sound that these create. Until now…
When you first turn it on, you’ll be shocked at how quiet it is in comparison to others. It hums more like a roaring engine and ironically sounds a little hoover like, which I had a little giggle at. The amount of work that has been put into this hairdryer is phenomenal.
I absolutely think that a Dyson hair dryer is worth splashing out the extra cash! The only thing left is for you to try it out for yourself.
