These are the best spring perfumes we’re obsessed with right now

Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking. But a cliche with good reason. This Aqua Di Parma in Rosa Nobile is a staple of my spring-summer scent wardrobe (a pretty small wardrobe to be honest with you - more of a drawer). It's light but sophisticated, with musky undertones that elevate it from smelling like an actual bunch of roses (Jo Malone, I'm looking at you) to a fragrance of a woman with her shiz together.

If there’s one scent that makes me feel effortlessly feminine and put-together, it’s Parfums De Marly Delina Exclusif. It’s soft, romantic, and just the right mix of sweet and sophisticated - like rose petals, vanilla, and a touch of warm oud. I’m so obsessed that I’ve already decided it’s going to be my wedding perfume next year (because if there’s ever a day to smell amazing, it’s that one). It’s floral without being too powdery, rich without being heavy - basically, the perfect spring scent.

I'm an orange blossom girly all year round but during spring this scent just hits different. It's the perfect mix of fresh citrus and floral - everything you want in a perfume for this time of year. At just £42 for 75ml this is also one hell of a bargain - obsessed!

Kayali has perfected the quintessential spring scent with Fleur Majesty – Rose Royale. Equal parts floral and fruity the key notes of peach, pear and pink peony marry together for this flirty fragrance. Sweet but light; Fleur Majesty makes us think of secret gardens, champagne afternoon tea and cool summer mornings.

Spring in a bottle? Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche understood the assignment. This floral-sparkling beauty is like the first warm breeze after winter - fresh, uplifting, and full of energy. With zesty citron for that just-bloomed brightness, soft jasmine for a touch of romance, and teak wood to keep it effortlessly chic, my ultimate scent for twirling through the season.

I tend to lean towards woodier fragrances such as Alien by Mugler (which is absolute ride or die), but when I had the opportunity to try Sabrina Carpenter’s perfume, I was taken by surprise. I’m not usually one for sweet scents, but Sweet Tooth is really pleasant - underpinned by vanilla, marshmallow and chocolate - that is a serious dopamine hit. It’s not heavy or sickly at all, leaves a lasting impression and the bottle is super cute, too. Definitely reminds me of holidaying away, a fab perfume that takes you into spring and well into the summer.

This gorgeous scent of rose, pomelo, vetiver, clove and patchouli aways lifts my mood. I find that when I'm wearing it, I get lots of compliments and people asking what I'm wearing. No gatekeeping around here!

Most of the year, I'm reaching for YSL Black Opium but as soon as spring arrives, it's time for a bit of Gucci. Not only does the pink bottle with its floral design scream 'spring', but the delightfully sweet, floral scent (that it describes as a 'bouquet') is a no-brainer. It's not rose-based, like a bunch of other floral perfumes, and smells fresh and airy with its notes of jasmine, pear blossom, and white gardenia. It's not too overpowering and the brown sugar base notes add a little extra warmth. Delicious.
