They're pretty much a standard thing a lot of people do especially because they're "non-invasive" but for some it can be a little daunting.

Have you seen a video of someone getting lip fillers? You see the injection go in while the person squirms... It's not for everyone.

The Closer Team on the one skincare product they always recommend

If you're considering getting lip fillers we'd recommend you have a look at our ultimate guideon how much they cost, the difference between lip injections and dermal fillers and what the procedure entails.

We spoke to Dr Yannis Alexandrides, Founder & Medical Director of 111 Harley St who revealed whether lip fillers really are painful or not - and sorry to burst anyone's bubble but it doesn't sound pain free..

"Yes, they can because lips are sensitive! If you do it without any anesthetic then it's likely to hurt.

"Of course, there are different thresholds for different patients. I have some who can have dermal fillers without any aesthetics and feel fine, though most of my patients have a little."

He added, "If anyone is worried about the pain, I apply a numbing cream to the lips which takes 20 minutes to work."
