My husband’s always been an attention seeker, but it’s starting to wear thin. He sees everything that goes wrong as a huge problem. I’m very calm and it’s infuriating.

Your husband’s dramatic tendencies might be annoying, but I bet there’s a flipside (he’s fun and kind, perhaps?). The thing is, he hasn’t changed – your attitude towards him has. This happens sometimes – what initially attracts us can repel us over time.

The key is not to engage when he’s attention-seeking. Instead, say: “You’ll solve it, you always do” and change the subject completely.
