The Mistress Cards range vows to celebrate adulterous relationships, so it's unsurprising that it's the brainchild of the people behind Illicitencounters.com – the UK’s largest website for married people seeking affairs.

According to a release from Illicitencounters.com, "many of the cards are aimed at adulterers celebrating their 'affair’versary' while others are designed for married people to send to someone they fancy and invite them to embark on a secret relationship".
Most of the cards are for women to send to men, featuring pin-up style imagery and rhymes.

One reads: “My marriage lacks warmth, closeness and spice, we shouldn’t be doing this… it's so naughty… but nice.”
Another says: "Roses are red, violets are blue. It's a good thing my wife doesn't know that I'm screwing you."

One more still rhymes: "My husband is lazy, his hair is grey. We haven't had sex in so long, he may as well be gay."
Mike Taylor of Illicitencounters.com said: “With one person in every ten couples actively looking for a new relationship on our site, we shouldn’t be surprised that a card celebrating what can be a very fulfilling and exciting experience would have enormous interest.
“In the UK we have been playing ‘catch up’ with the continent who have long excepted and celebrated mistresses and histresses as a natural and healthy occurrence with in a happy relationship.”
