When 20-year-old Reba Miller gave birth after an 18-hour labour, not only was her 61-year-old "husband" Thom by her side, but also his other wife, Belinda.
Reba, Thom and Belinda are in a polyamorous relationship - both women are Thom’s lovers, though they don’t have a physical relationship with each other.
They all share the same house, with the two women cooking and cleaning while Thom goes out to work - and they take it in turns to spend the night with him.
In the bizarre set-up, Catherine will grow up to call Reba 'Mom', while Belinda will be known as 'Momma'.
Reba says: “We’ve never been closer than since we had Catherine. I breastfeed her and also express milk so Belinda and Thom can feed her too.
"I feel lucky to have Belinda to help me care for the baby, she’s always there to step in and give me a break.”
Meanwhile Thom, a building contractor, says: “Catherine has added to the family – she completes us.
"She will be brought up with three times the love. We are all her parents and will play a part in raising her. If anything, having two mums is better than one.”
