Noelia Lopez-Cheda hit back at fellow mums and dads at her local primary school, branding them ‘full-time personal assistants’ for their children.
The trouble began when Noelia joined a messaging group for parents of local schoolchildren.

‘I thought it was a good idea to be in contact with other parents from my daughter’s class and to be updated about activities’ she told the BBC.
But quickly, the Whatsapp group turned into ‘a sort of monster,’ with parents relying heavily on it to make sure their children hand’t forgotten to do anything, incessantly sharing test results and more.
One evening, as Noelia’s daughter announced she’d forgotten her homework, the doting mother went to text other mums for the questions - just as many had done before her.
But it was then that Noelia says she ‘saw the light’ and realised what she was doing.
‘I refuse to be my daughter’s school diary through a Whatsapp group. I refuse to be the one doing the homework, I refuse to go back to school and I refuse to be over-protective to the point of taking over her responsibilities,’ she explained.
Her Facebook post went viral, being shared more than 35,000 times, as fellow parents commended her refreshing attitude.
