When Karolina Dabrowska went into labour, her partner called a taxi to rush them to hospital.

But, little Sebastian was keen to make his entrance in the world and, on the way to the University College Hospital, in London, Karolina’s waters broke and her boyfriend Matthew ran into a nearby hotel for help.

As Sebastian was born it became clear that the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. Paramedics arrived at the scene and moved Karolina and Sebastian into the back of the ambulance to treat them but, at that moment, Matthew claims the taxi driver started to demand money from him to clean his cab.

“Everybody was so helpful, except the taxi driver saying, 'How am I going to get my taxi clean?' Matthew said. “I got my son breathing and he is still asking for money.”

It’s now reported that the taxi firm have cancelled the ‘fouling charge’ and have made a donation to a baby charity.
