Ever missed someone so much that you hugged them until it hurts? Ever hugged someone until their arm BROKE?

Well, for one woman she felt the brunt of one of the most passionate hugs we’ve ever heard of when her 8-year-old son leapt into her arms during a birthday party.

Jennifer Connell, 54, from New York was left with a broken arm after the boisterous cuddle.

The incident, which took place four years ago, has now been followed up by Connell’s lawyers as she feels that her nephew should be held ‘legally accountable’ for breaking her arm.

In a document filed by her lawyers, they state: “The injuries, losses and harms to the plaintiff were caused by the negligence and carelessness of the minor defendant in that a reasonable 8-year-old under those circumstances would know or should have known that a forceful greeting such as the one delivered by the defendant to the plaintiff could cause the harms and losses suffered by the plaintiff.”

Her lawyer added that she was hoping to have her medical costs covered following the ‘horrific’ injury.

They said: "Our client was never looking for money from her nephew or his family. It was about the insurance industry and being forced to sue to get medical bills paid.”

Connell asked for $127,000 in damages for arm break.

A jury has since found that the little boy is NOT liable for the injury, but Connell maintains that she thinks he should still be held accountable.
