The woman, who has not been named, attempted to go through the drive-through, but was refused service. She reacted by leading the horse into the restaurant on Bury New Road, where it “ended up doing [its] business on the floor.”

"We are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive-through"

McDonald’s later explained that they do not serve drive-through customers who are on horseback.

A spokesperson for the fast food giant said: “The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority, and for this reason we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive-through.”
