A grandmother in Ohio, America thought she was being funny when she photographed her 2-month-old baby granddaughter with a dummy duct taped to her face and lying in a roasting pan.

But, when Jackie Sheaks shared the photos on Facebook, she soon discovered that not many people shared her sense of humour.
In fact, the images - one of which sees the infant resting inside a large turkey roasting pan next to some potatoes - created such a fire storm on Facebook that local law enforcement got involved out of concerns over potential child abuse.

Jackie explained to 10TV that she uploaded the snapshots online hoping to amuse her Facebook friends
She said: "It started as just a joke. We put a little tape on the pacifier because we were being silly.
"We wanted to share it with friends because everybody that knows us, knows we play around like that."

However the photos, which she saw as playful, did not raise a smile at the local police department.
Jackie was horrified when the sheriff came her door, along with Children Services, out of concern that her granddaughter was in danger.
“We would never harm our children, never,” she insisted, as the girl's grandfather revealed that the family feel as if they may have to relocate to escape the harassment.
The abuse the family have received online since posting the photos has convinced Jackie never again to share images of her granddaughter on Facebook.
She said: “Oh, it's definitely taught me a lesson: what we think is funny, other people don't (and) it will never happen again. It's definitely taught us a lesson."
The child's mother, who does not wish to be named, has since said that she had no problem with the photos.
Despite this, the family have said that they are glad the sheriff and Children Services did come to investigate, although they have heard nothing about any charges against them.
