A woman in India managed to ‘drag’ her attacker to a police station after he groped her in broad daylight.

20-year-old Pradnya Mandhare was walking home from university lectures in Mumbai when a drunk man groped her.

The incident occurred at a busy train station, but despite this nobody stood in to help her.

She told local news: "He tried to hit me back and he really stunk of alcohol but I was determined not to let him get away with it."

The student decided to take matters into her own hands so began to drag him by the hair to the nearest police station.

"He was telling me to let go and that he would come with me voluntarily… but I didn't trust him and continued to pull him along. I finally managed to hand him over to the police without getting any help from anyone."

Pradnya added: “I don't see myself as a heroine but I also think we should make a stand and let men know they can't just do what they want."

The attacked- a 35-year-old drug addict- has now been arrested and is being held in custody.
