Two years ago a horrific house fire broke out in a New York house, tragically killing father David Terry, 3-year-old Layah, 2-year-old Michael and 11-month-old Donavan.

Only Safyre, then 5, survived the blaze- protected in the arms of her loving father.

Horrifically the brave little girl sustained burns to more than 75% of her body, and has been subjected to a stream of surgeries and procedures.

But through the ordeal, she has had the support of over 12,000 fans through her Facebook page.

The page profile reads:

"Sa'fyre is the sole survivor of a fatal arson fire that murdered her father David Terry 32, her sister Layah 3, and her brothers Micheal 2, Donavan 11 months. 75% of Sa'fyre's body was burned. She is a miracle and has a strong will to live and recover.”

And pleading with her fans to support her through the festive season- a painful reminder of the family she has lost, the page asks for one simple thing: a Christmas card for the brave 7-year-old.

The page also links to a YouCaring donation page, started by a friend of the family.

Heartbreakingly entitled 'HELP Fatal Arson Survivor Safyre Terry and Family’, the page explains that Safyre’s aunt- her father’s sister- has taken in Safyre to care for amongst her other four children.

Inspiringly it has already raised $28,851.

What a brave little girl Safyre is.
