Intan Maizura Othman, 34, is married to Mohammad Hazrin Hasnan, who was working aboard the Malaysian Airlines flight which has been lost since March.

Congratulations have poured in for the woman, who welcomed her baby son into the world without her husband by her side. After posting a picture of the baby to Facebook, the snap received 63,000 likes within three hours.

She has named the child Mohammad after his father.

The 239 passengers and crew on board the Malaysian airlines flight have been missing for 73 days, after the plane vanished on March 8 while en route to Beijing.

No wreckage has been found of the plane, with search efforts now focused on the Southern Indian Ocean. Australia, who are leading part of the hunt for the plane, believe the vessel was deliberately streeted off course by the pilot.

Families of passengers and crew on board have criticised Malaysia airlines for their handling of the crisis - with relatives being told last month that they must now presume all on board have perished.

The mother-of-two earlier posted a tribute to her lost husband, writing: 'my love for you will stay for ever' and cited her faith as keeping her strong.
