When Deirdre "White Dee" Kelly entered the Celebrity Big Brother house, it was a far cry from the small council home she still shares with her two children in Birmingham.

Dee, 43, who rose to fame in C4 who rose to fame in C4 show Benefits Street back in January, caused outrage after it was revealed she hadn't worked since 2007 and, until recently, was claiming £20k a year in state handouts, insisting she was too depressed to work.

Since then she's cashed in on numerous TV appearances and media deals, reportedly earning £100k to appear on CBB, and is now planning a work trip to LA.

In a bid to help Dee realise her full "star" potential, Closer offered her a glam makeover, turning her into Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe for our photo shoot.

Speaking exclusively to Closer, Dee says: "I feel so glamorous as Marilyn- I never usually wear make-up or heels so it's nice to get dressed up. I don't know what Mark would think of the Marilyn look though- he probably wouldn't notice there was anything different about me!

"Going on Celebrity Big Brother was an amazing experience and it's opened up lots of doors for me, I've been offered a film role and I'm going to LA soon to discuss a few projects.

"I'm so grateful for these exciting opportunities, I hope I never have to go back on benefits."
