Following months of distressing and disturbing images of refugees from Syria attempting to find safety in Europe, people in the UK are galvanising to help families fleeing the gruesome civil war.
If you feel compelled to help but don’t know where to start, these charities desperately need YOUR donations so that they in turn can assist families devastated by fighting and barbaric violence.
Save the Children
Save the Children are looking for donations to help bring much needed food and clothing to families who are crossing deadly seas in order to escape the danger in their homeland.
They are also asking supporters to pledge their support for refugees in an effort to turn around the hostile attitudes to those battling to get to Europe.
"These families now face an extreme choice, to return to a war zone or risk drowning as they are smuggled into Europe.”
Justin Forsyth, CEO.

Migrant Offshore Aid Station
This charity is based in Malta and exists to help prevent migrants from being killed whilst crossing the Mediterranean.
They use their own vessels and aircraft to help migrant boats in distress as they make the journey. Paramedics and rescuers locate and monitor boats to save lives.
So far they have saved 11, 124 lives of migrants fleeing war-torn nations. Help them continue doing so by donating HERE.
International Rescue Committee
This charity helps refugees in Europe who have made dangerous journeys in order to seek safety from the horrors of war in their homelands. Vulnerable children are amongst those they help. They need clothing, food and emotional support following what will have been the most terrifying journey of their lives.

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)
The UN has managed to help refugees in the Ukraine in areas which have not received aid in weeks. They help those who have made the perilous journey as they run from Syria’s deadly civil war. The UN estimates that 300,000 have made the journey across the Mediterranean, and their resources are lifelines to the families that have made the crossing.
