The footage that’s now going viral shows a happy family get together, with people laughing and lovingly chatting away with one another.
As the gentleman in the clip, Ryan Farrell, sits down, he is gifted a shiny red present by 20 year old Misty Nicole Knight, who he has helped raise her entire life. We then watch as he reads a letter and opens the box, getting chocked up by the sentiment within.
Before he unwraps it, he reads the following note:
"I just want you to know that you are the most amazing man I have ever met.
"You’ve raised me my whole life, from putting my hair in tight Princess Leia buns, forging my signature in fifth grade, jamming out to alternative music, going on Warped Tour and even our first rock concert together, leading up to us laughing at cats wearing leggings.
"I know we are so weird together, but that’s what makes you you and I can’t imagine not having you in my life. I’m so grateful to be able to call you dad."
As the joke around how long the family man takes looking and fussing over every little item in the box, he finally gets to what Misty has been waiting for – and the moment is truly moving.

That’s right, Misty asked the very special man in her life to formerly adopt her – isn’t that the cutest thing ever?
And it seems some of her other family members were just as surprised as Ryan, as clearly she’d been secretly planning the magical gesture.

Misty shared her mobile phone video online along with the following note:
