Thanks to the power of the internet, we have been trated to many great prank videos - nearly all of which involve something terrifying happening to ordinary people as they go about their day-to-day business.
However this latest prank video, shared on eBaum's World, appears to have struck a nerve with many.
It features a little girl, sat crying by herself late at night on a public road. But, as people approach her to offer her their assistance and make sure she's okay, she transforms into a terrifying monster and chases them down the street.
However, while the prank was intended to be funny, many have taken offence to the idea, insisting it makes light of child abandonment and will discourage people from helping others.
One viewer of the video commented: "That'll teach them to help anyone out"
Another added: "This is terrible. I wonder if any of these people will ever try to help anyone on the street again?"
One more commented: "Yay. Teaching the public not to help crying kids because they might be made to look stupid on a hidden camera prank show. Good idea. I love this culture and where we're heading. Gonna be a million times worse than Nazi Germany. Horay. Hail Satan."
