Many dogs who are made homeless live as strays before being found and taken into a rescue centre.
They get combed, washed and scrubbed up ready for re-homing, but sadly many of the dogs are destroyed before they can be adopted.
Many rescue centres destroy dogs if they aren’t rehomed in just one week.
Luckily, with a little love and attention, these ‘death row’ dogs can be given a new lease of life.
This amazing video tells the story of Charlie. He was brought into a homeless shelter with painful tugs in his fur.
He was groomed to perfection, and looked like a completely different dog! Thankfully, his new mum arrived ready to give him a brand new life.
