Cheryl Shaw, 50, and her daughter Tessa, 17, are extremely close. So, when they decided they were unhappy with their weight, it made sense that they would do something about it together.
After being inspired by a #GiveIt100 video that went viral, the pair decided to spend 100 days losing weight, together.
They got to work hitting the gym and prepping meals early in the week, so they wouldn’t have excuse to not eat healthy food.
And, thanks to the fact they were both involved, it meant that - even after a 12-hour shift, they never missed a workout.
“I’m so glad me and my daughter are doing this thing together,” Cheryl said. “It’s such a team effort, it’s like, OK mom what are we going to do today?”
Together they've lost a combined 74 pounds - and, while they still have a long way to go, they're going to get there. Together.
