We all know that children should absolutely 100% NOT be smoking - well, to be honest, we all know that adults shouldn't be smoking either - but it can be mighty hard to kick the habit once you start.

But what happens when a young child, clutching a packet of cigarettes, goes up to smokers and asks them for a light?

That's what this new social experiment has attempted to find out, having 9-year-old Jenson rush up to smoking grown-ups and ask them for help lighting his ciggie.

The range of reactions are quite surprising - although none so much as the first woman he speaks to.

We're actually very heartened to see that so many adults, even young teens, will refuse to help a little boy start smoking.

One woman physically took the cigarette away from the boy, while many others urged him to kick the habit - admitting that they wish they could do the same.
