Mother bear Yuan Yuan was separated from daughter Yuan Zai at birth, as the newborn was premature and needed to be kept in an incubator.
The 39-day-old cub, who was Taiwan’s first panda born to Taipei zoo, needed around-the-clock care when she was born, and staff are still considering whether to leave her with her mother.
