When Walker Pruett was born 14 weeks premature, his family were understandably worried about his condition.

But with the help of a caring neonatal until and the hopes of his parents, baby Walker made vast improvement in the space of 100 days.

Walker’s family decided to track his progress with a touching time-lapse video, showing exactly how much stronger he became.

His father Bryan named the video ‘Project 100 Days’, and in an interview on the clip’s release he said: "These images are a way to bring out the humanity of the NICU, looking beyond the tubes, cords, and machines to highlight the beauty of the miracles that occur there on a daily basis.”

Many babies owe their lives to the nurses and technology operating in vital baby units up and down the country, proving just how important these life-saving wards really are.
